What to Expect

  • On any given Sunday you will see anything from jeans to suits and ties. Everyone is welcome and we would rather you be comfortable and here than not at all.
  • Expect to be warmly greeted when you walk in.
  • Our sermons are Bible based and connect with everyday life and circumstances. Feel free to listen to a few. EXPLORE
  • You will hear a variety of music during worship, from traditional to more contemporary. It could be played on the organ, piano, guitar, or hand bells. Please feel free to sing along!
  • Activity/worship bags and Children's Bibles are available to keep kids busy during worship when Sunday School is not in session.
  • If you prefer we offer nursery care (upon request) so that parents can focus on being in worship.  You can rest easy because we use a vibrating paging system to reach you if there is any need at all.
  • We celebrate The Lord's Supper (Communion) on the first Sunday of every month. All baptized people are welcome to participate, regardless of your denomination.

got kids?

For your infant to 3 year old we offer nursery care upon request, so parents can attend Worship. Our infant and toddler room is located in our Sunday School wing. You never have to feel far away because vibrating pagers are used to reach you if there is any need at all.

Sunday School is available at 10 am from September to June for your children Grades 4 through 6th grade.

Children of all ages are welcome to worship with their parent(s) in the Sanctuary. The ushers will provide you with activity bags that include crayons and coloring pages. The church library serves as a "crying room".  The service is piped into the library, so you can listen there with your child.

Youth

we have a voice

High school youth start out in the Worship Service and after the sermon leave Worship for Sunday School. They meet until 11:30 sharing fellowship, faith and fun. It is a relaxed atmosphere and an open forum to talk about anything that is on their mind.

Pluckemin Church has a vibrant youth program. It creates a time and place where middle and high school youth can come and escape the pressures of being a teen in today’s society, learn about God and one another, and have some fun… a place to feel safe.

fellowship time

After Worship. please join us in our Fellowship Hall for coffee and refreshments. This is an informal time to get to know our church better by meeting and chatting with some of the members.
