Sunday Mornings

At Pluckemin Church, we want worship to be the best hour of your week! That's why every service is carefully planned to help worshipers to come into God's presence in ways that inspire, inform, challenge, and heal.  We proudly follow a traditional Presbyterian order of worship, but no one would accuse us of being stuck in the past.

CHRISTMAS EVE SCHEDULE

On December 24th we offer three worship celebrations, each with its own unique emphasis.

• 4:30 pm - Children's Pageant and Family Worship. The children lead us in song as they re-enact the story of Jesus' birth in this 45 minute celebration. This is a truly child-centered service. If your child would like to participate in the pageant, call Valerie Sell, Associate Director of Music (908-874-3406). Professional infant and toddler care are provided.

• 7:30pm - Traditional Festive Worship with your favorite carols and special music offered by the Carillons Handbell Choir. Whole families enjoy worshiping together at this service, which includes a candle-lit rendition of "Silent Night." For children there are activity bags and a children's message.

• 10:00pm - The Sanctuary Choir leads us in singing your favorite hymns in this candlelit Communion service.

9:00am and 11:00am - Traditional Festive Worship - Our choirs, accompanied by brass, bells, and timpani, lead us in celebrating the victory that is ours on Easter morning and always. Infant and toddler care is provided. Children that worship with us have a special role to play in these identical worship services.

Nursery care will be provided during the 9 and 11 am services.

Because of the special nature of the day, there are no Christian Education (Sunday School or Adult Education) or Children's Worship offerings on Easter Sunday.
