pastoral care
The pastor is always available for counseling and care when people are dealing with important problems or concerns. From hospital visitation, to life crisis matters such as unemployment or family issues, to concerns of a spiritual nature, our pastor is available to offer care and support. Deacons - The caring arm of the church
Deacons are an integral part of the congregational care ministry at Pluckemin. They offer care to the congregation by visiting the homebound and infirm, arranging transportation, sending greeting cards and organizing meals for those in need.
medical equipment ministry
The medical equipment ministry collects and distributes gently used medical equipment to the community. We have hospital beds, wheelchairs, motorized scooters, crutches, walkers, adult diapers, and more. The list is quite extensive and this ministry works locally and abroad. ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS
Meetings are held every Thursday night, 7:30 pm Room 102
Alcoholics Anonymous ® is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS
NA (for men) meets in the Trinity Room on Mondays at 7:30 pm.
Narcotics Anonymous is a nonprofit Fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. "NA is a nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We ... meet regularly to help each other stay clean. ... We are not interested in what or how much you used ... but only in what you want to do about your problem and how we can help." Membership is open to all drug addicts, regardless of the particular drug or combination of drugs used. When adapting AA's First Step, the word "addiction" was substituted for "alcohol," thus removing drug-specific language and reflecting the "disease concept" of addiction.
