Originally from New York State, Jan
received a BA in English from Lehman College CUNY and a MA in Ministry with a
Certificate in Group Spiritual Formation from Drew University.
Jan’s penchant for oral and written
communication, organizational management and her passion for self-transformation,
motivated diverse career choices in corporate, educational, entrepreneurial, real
estate and church administration. Additionally, she has been a children’s
ministry liaison and Sunday School teacher, an editor, PR writer and
facilitator of holistic health programs in corporations, schools, and civic
organizations.
Raised a Catholic who later became an
Episcopalian and inspired by a Trinitarian theology of unity in multiplicity, Jan
was called to study other faith traditions, becoming ordained as an interfaith
minister. She has led groups in spiritual formation, grounded in Christian contemplative
practices of the Ignatian Examen, Lectio Divina and Centering Prayer.
Church administration is a ministry for
Jan to integrate her organizational, communication and spiritual gifts in
direct service of God’s people within the sacred space of a congregational
setting.
Jan has a daughter, Gabrielle; a son,
Matthew; and three grandsons, Nico, Noah, and Jace. She greatly enjoys nature
trail walks, cooking, craft making, gardening, reading, writing, and travel.
